Pineapple ginger and turmeric shot, or shall we say wellness shot. I’m not in the position of claiming this will sooth all ailments or sickling souls but lets just say my mother recommends honey and ginger for EVERYTHING!
A quick ounce of this shot packs a punch with spice from the ginger but that sweetness from the pineapple balances it all.
The food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison

NOTE
You can use a blender and strain with a cheese cloth / fine mesh strainer . or a juicer.
INGREDIENTS
Ready to eat pineapple. To check, try pulling the inner leaves from the crown. It should come off without too hard of a tug. I smell it too, you will definitely know if its beyond use date is close. Pineapple is packed with lots of vitamin C and brings in the sweetness in these shots.
Ginger should be fresh! Preferable organic. You can definitely taste the difference. They are smaller in size and spicier. Ginger is the beloved anti-nausea home remedy. It is just downright good for your gut.
Turmeric can be fresh or powder. We also bring in a little black pepper.
Raw Honey: Getting your hands on some local raw honey even better as it might help with seasonal allergies.
Feel free to add in some citrus and herbs to enhance the flavor. You can also dilute if too strong for your palate.
PRESERVING THE PINEAPPLE GINGER AND TURMERIC SHOT
As this is not pasteurized, you’ll need to consume within 3-5 days if stored in the fridge.
Alternatively, store in ice cube trays and freeze for a more long-term use.
Drop a cube in a glass of water or just take a bite. Here’s how we pasteurize some of our homemade juices if we know we cannot consume within a week.
This pineapple ginger and turmeric shot is sweet and spicy! Serving it as is or over ice is our “feel good” drink. Hope you bring it into your home and enjoy it as much as we did. And don’t forget to let us know what you’ve been cooking from the Afrovitalityeats kitchen.
