Crunchy Plantain Chips at Home
Mimic your store bought favorite with these crunchy plantain chips. It can be plain, salty , spicy or however you want it

- 2 semi ripe plantains
- 1 Tbsp Essiespice Mekko Dry Rub (Or any dry rub of choice)
- Canola oil for frying (Or oil of choice)
Get Recipe Ingredients
Heat oil in fryer up to 345-350 degrees
Wash and peel plantains. (Cut ends, then make a slit down the side. Use thump to lift edge and peel)
Use a mandoline slice to slice into rings or long strips into a bowl.
Sprinkle dry rub and mix well to incorporate.
Then , fry until golden and crunchy. Transfer to a paper towel to drain the excess oil.
