BEETS IMMUNITY SHOTS

These beets immunity shots are another favorite during this time of the year. Nutrient-rich, absolutely delicious and sometimes used as a pre-workout drink.

Equipment

  • High speed blender or
  • Juicer

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large pineapple cut into small chunks (About 5 cups)
  • 3 medium beets cut into small cubes (~3 cups)
  • 3 large lemons
  • 3 sprigs flat leaf parsley
  • 2.5 ounces of ginger root- peeled
  • 1 cup of water (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients into a high speed blender starting with the 1 large pineapple. Then add in water and blend into a smooth pulp. (You can split ingredients into smaller batches to ease blending)
  • Transfer blend into a cheese cloth and squeeze out as much juice as you can.
  • Transfer into sanitized 2 ounce serving bottles and enjoy daily.
  • Consume within 3 days or pasteurize and consume within 7-10 days.

Notes

You can adjust individual ingredients to your taste. Go heavy on the lemon if you want a little more tartness, or ginger if you want a little more kick to your immunity shots. Whichever route you take, you'll be satisfied with just how many nutrients these little shots pack.
