Drink your Oatmeal

I absolutely love oatmeal! I could eat it every day, actually I have oatmeal probably 4 times a week if not more. And there is something especially unique with all those times. From smoothies, to flapjacks, waffles and hearty oatmeal bowls.

Mixed berry oatmeal smoothie

To continue our Monday smoothie series we are having this very vibrant mixed berry oatmeal smoothie.

A nice boost of flax seed.

Dairy free using almond milk and a tart sweet from raw honey.

Did you know?

Local raw honey MAY help with seasonal allergies. Bees, our very busy friends are to thank for. The thought is , you get exposure to allergens (environmental pollen) through the honey. Just a thought , but something to consider.Raw honey does have the risk of botulism, so my on year old, who always gets dips on my smoothies will not be having this one. I know, I know, they are okay after age one, but I’ll be pushing honey out just a little longer.

Mixed Berry oatmeal smoothie

This Mixed berry oatmeal smoothie is also antioxidant morning kick start. If you are not a breakfast person this is the perfect smoothie for you. It’s light, yet satisfying enough to help you make it to your first meal without feeling like you’ve been fasting for days.

Mixed Berry Oatmeal Smoothie

Without further ado, enjoy this mixed berry oatmeal smoothie until our next smoothie Monday. Oh! and don’t forget to share a glass with a friend or two.
