Eat your Greens!
Kick start your day with this simple Avocado Mango and Spinach smoothie. It’s refreshing, light and heavily loaded with all the goodies for a healthy start to your day. Avocados are not cheap, so when there is a sale going on, lets just say I get carried away. So here we are, with 3 avocados that are ready to eat and another really close to the mark too. What to do? You can always make guac! Avocado toast. Or this amazing smoothie.
Usually I use bananas , not only as a sweetening agent in my smoothies but also to get a nice creamy consistency. Avocados are even better, especially if you are on a sugar restriction. The mango comes in for the sweetness, but a pinch of stevia is also added. With a smoothie like this you can definitely add to it and make it your own. Chia seeds are a great addition to my green smoothies. Sometimes I’ll throw in some wheat grass for that earthy flavor.
Making smoothies in the morning is a quick trick to not skipping breakfast. We try to make as many varieties as we can and I plan on sharing the recipes as we do. You can replace or substitute some of the water used with orange juice. I like my smoothies just a tart sweet, as long as it has all the essentials. Enjoy this simple Avocado Mango spinach smoothie and don’t forget to share a glass with a friend or two.
